Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Nidecker Merc is an All-Mountain/Freeride type snowboard with a directional shape that gives it a natural ability to curve and perform well on a wide variety of terrains.

What is the program of the Nidecker Merc snowboard?

The Merc has a Master Core that mixes different wood densities to offer a very good weight/performance ratio. This core is integrated into the Premium Sandwich construction which uses carbon for durability and shock absorption. It is therefore a dynamic and comfortable board on all terrains. Its directional shape, with a longer nose and a slightly setback foot position facilitates curve entry and allows you to ride on all types of snow. It offers a good flotation in powder, particularly thanks to the rockers with spatulas that make it easier to get off the board. On hard snow, it holds its edge thanks to its classic camber section and its stability that allows you to gain speed and perfect your carving technique. Thus, you can vary the terrain as you wish, engage in turns and even place a few tricks in your lines if you like freestyle!

Who is the Nidecker Merc snowboard for?

This model is perfect for an intermediate or advanced snowboarder who likes to ride fast and make nice curves on all terrains. The Merc offers a good balance between performance and ride comfort, which allows you to set the pace on the slopes while maintaining playability.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
