Description

The Nidecker Merc snowboard is truly stable on the piste and is quite playful when it comes to varying your lines. It lets you head off-piste and enjoy softer snow.

What is the Nidecker Merc snowboard designed for?

Designed for versatile all-mountain riding, it seamlessly transitions from the piste to the off-piste without breaking your rhythm. Its twin-directional shape maintains ease in switch, while the slightly rear-set inserts help the nose float better in light powder. The camber + rocker profile provides grip underfoot, pop during weight shifts, and a more natural pivot at the tips. The Master Core offers a good balance between lightness and responsiveness. The Premium Sandwich construction with carbon fiber improves stability at higher speeds and dampens vibrations on hard snow.

Who is the Nidecker Merc snowboard designed for?

This board is suitable for intermediate to advanced riders who want to improve their skills throughout the resort, with enough stability to carve cleanly and enough forgiveness to land a few tricks or head out into light powder.

What are the main features of the Nidecker Merc snowboard?

Versatility

Stability

Maneuverability

Is the Nidecker Merc suitable for freestyle?

Yes. Its twin-directional shape allows you to ride switch, and its central camber provides enough pop for jumps, ollies, and simple tricks.

Does the Merc float well in powder?

Yes, in light powder. The rockers at the tips and the slightly rear-set inserts make it easier to float, without compromising on agility on the groomed runs.

What skill level is required to ride the Nidecker Merc?

An intermediate skill level is recommended. It’s still accessible, but it becomes more enjoyable for riders who can already adjust their weight distribution based on snow conditions and terrain.

Does the Nidecker Merc perform well on hard-packed slopes?

Yes. The camber between the feet provides reliable grip on compact snow and helps you maintain control in turns.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
