The Platinum features a qualitative construction, with a Master Core offering lightness and power, a high-end N-Tech sandwich assembly integrating a layer of Absorbnid offering better shock absorption, as well as a Sintered N-7000 outsole offering a good glide quality.  

What is the program of the Nidecker Platinum snowboard?  

The Nidecker Platinum has an effective shape on all types of terrain and snow, without being too directional so as not to handicap you during possible tricks and switch passages. If you are rather into carving, you will also be delighted because it offers a very good ride and lots of control thanks to the setback position of the feet. It remains stable when you pick up speed and rebounds through the curves, without being too stiff and physically demanding. It's a board that you can carve with at any speed as well as have fun on the edges of the slopes and draw between the trees.  

Who is the Nidecker Platinum snowboard for?  

This model is intended for snowboarders who like to vary the terrain, ride fast and even why not send some tricks. In terms of accessibility, this board can be ridden by an intermediate snowboarder who likes a challenge and it will be ideal for a confirmed to very confirmed snowboarder.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
