The Rave is one of Nidecker's most successful models, with a very tonic construction, advanced materials and technologies. The three wood species of the Light Core and the specificity of the FreeFlex 2.0 construction found in the spatulas, allows to have a board with an excellent weight/power ratio. You will also appreciate the quality of the high-density sole that provides super glide, as well as the cushioning provided by the Vibrak and Absorbnid technologies.  

What is the program of the Nidecker Rave snowboard?  

Having the Rave under your feet is a real asset when you like to be fully engaged during descents whatever the terrain. At the same time manoeuvrable and very stable, this board allows you to draw your lines with maximum control and precision. On the piste, you'll enjoy excellent grip thanks to its classic camber, while the setback position of the feet makes it easy to get into curves. You have to commit, but thanks to this setback and a flex that's not so stiff, you can take turns with a fluidity that gives you a great adrenaline rush. It's also fun off-piste and when the snow is fresh, the fact that you're shifted on the back of the board gives you an almost automatic lift!

Quite rigid, this model is intended for high performance snowboarders who like to engage in their descents, whether on or off-piste. We therefore recommend it to experienced snowboarders to expert riders who enjoy curves, carving, freeride, etc...

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
