The Rossignol Evader is the ideal board for getting into freeride without any hassle. Truly versatile, it stands out for its manoeuvrability and ease of use, thanks to a soft flex that puts you at ease from your very first run. Rossignol has worked on a directional shape to deliver a board that floats in powder, grips on groomers, and remains highly forgiving, even when your technique isn’t quite there yet.

What is the Rossignol Evader snowboard made for?

The Rossignol Evader is designed for all-mountain freeride, featuring a camber + rocker profile that combines edge hold with easy float in powder. The traditional camber between the feet provides grip and pop, while the tip rockers boost float and make turn initiation effortless. Its directional shape and generous nose ensure excellent manoeuvrability both on groomers and in fresh snow, making it perfect for laying down your first lines in the backcountry.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
