The Craft is a snowboard designed by Salomon for freestyle and all-mountain riding. It represents an excellent balance between performance and ease of use, ideal for having fun and performing impressive tricks in the terrain park.

What is the Salomon Craft snowboard made for?

The Salomon Craft is a twin-tip board with a centred stance, perfect for riding in either direction. It excels at riding switch and learning new tricks. Its Popster wood core, reinforced with fibreglass, ensures a balanced flex, making presses easier while maintaining pop and response. The traditional camber underfoot guarantees good edge hold on groomers, and the rockers at the tips improve float in powder. Its versatility allows for excellent performance on groomers and fun in the backcountry.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
