Here’s the Verdad Grand Cru, a directional board developed by Verdad Snowboards for All-Mountain and freeride snowboarding. The Verdad team members, fine wine lovers and oenology amateurs, had fun paying homage to the great vintage wines by calling this board Grand Cru and adding a beautiful burgundy red baseplate on it. Be careful though, drinking alcohol on the slopes is not recommended as you might end up hugging a tree!

What can the Verdad Grand Cru snowboard do?

The Verdad Grand Cru was developed with carving and powder sensations in mind. It features a directional shape with setback inserts offering efficient back foot control for more manoeuvrability and easier turn initiation. The classic camber underfoot delivers maximum grip on hard snow, while the rockered tips provide float in pow. The V-Light woodcore is lively and reinforced with carbon inserts for more responsiveness and stability at high speed, ideal to hard-charge on all terrains. To be consumed without moderation!

Who is the Verdad Grand Cru snowboard designed for?

We recommend the Verdad Grand Cru to the intermediate to advanced snowboarders who want an accessible and progressive board offering great abilities on all terrains to be able to progress and move to the next level.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
