Product description — Shifter

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Shifter is Yes’s freestyle board that truly stands out. While it’s designed to shine in the terrain park, it’ll also follow you onto groomers, turning every bump into an opportunity for a new trick. With its twin-tip shape and traditional camber, this board feels right at home when riding switch or linking tricks together.

What is the Yes Shifter snowboard made for?

The Yes Shifter is a versatile board with a strong focus on all-mountain freestyle. Its true twin shape ensures great agility and makes riding switch effortless. The traditional camber enhances edge hold coming out of turns and boosts pop. 3D tips on both nose and tail help prevent unwanted edge catches, giving you confidence during presses or butters—even on more technical features.

Who is the Yes Shifter snowboard aimed at?

The Shifter is intended for intermediate to advanced riders looking to progress and have fun in the terrain park. It’s a playful yet robust board that lets your creativity flow.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
