Product description — Backland Xtd Carbon 120 Gw Black Silver

On challenging freerando routes, the Atomic Backland Xtd Carbon 120 GW Black Silver ski boot stands out by combining a stiff flex with a GripWalk sole. It’s designed for skiers who want a single pair for both off-piste excursions and aggressive runs within the ski area.

What is the intended use of the Atomic Backland Xtd Carbon 120 GW Black Silver ski boot?

It’s designed for versatile ski touring and freeriding, with a strong focus on downhill performance. The 120 flex, combined with a Carbon Loaded PA shell and the Energy Backbone, delivers precise power transfer, while the Frictionless Mirror pivot and the Free/Lock 4.5 system allow for 74° of range of motion during ascents. The Cross Lace 2.5 lacing system and the 40/45 mm Cam Strap secure the instep. The 100 mm boot volume is suitable for narrow feet prioritizing comfort or medium-width feet prioritizing precision.

Who is the Atomic Backland Xtd Carbon 120 GW Black Silver ski boot designed for?

This boot is designed for intermediate to expert skiers who are into freerando and fast downhill skiing, and who are looking for a stiff flex and GripWalk compatibility to switch between alpine bindings and insert bindings.

Is the boot compatible with GripWalk bindings?

Yes, its Skywalk GripWalk sole is ISO 23223 certified and compatible with GW bindings, and it also accepts Low Tech insert bindings thanks to its built-in inserts.

Is the liner thermoformable?

Yes, the 3D Platinum Tour Liner adapts to the shape of your foot using the Memory Fit process, with up to 6 mm of expansion possible in the forefoot.

What’s the difference between this and the Backland Xtd 110?
