Product description — Radical Black Out Ultra Yellow

Designed for freetouring, the Dynafit Radical Black Out Ultra Yellow ski boot is built for outings that combine skin-track ascents with demanding descents. Its ski/walk mechanism allows you to switch quickly between uphill and downhill modes without compromising climbing efficiency.

What is the intended use of the Dynafit Radical Black Out Ultra Yellow ski boot?

This model is part of the freetouring category, offering a balanced performance for both climbing and skiing. With a flex rating of 110, it provides firm support and excellent power transmission to the snow. The Hoji Single Lock system links the ski/walk transition to the closure in a single motion, delivering a 60° cuff range of motion and a Pebax tongue for a smooth stride. The 103 mm last offers generous volume for enhanced comfort, complemented by micro-adjustable buckles, a Velcro Power Strap, and a dual-density Vibram sole for reliable grip on rocky terrain.

Who is the Dynafit Radical Black Out Ultra Yellow ski boot designed for?

The Radical Black Out Ultra Yellow is aimed at intermediate to advanced skiers who enjoy freetouring and seek lively downhill performance without sacrificing uphill mobility.

What are the main strengths of the Dynafit Radical Black Out Ultra Yellow ski boot?

Versatility

Support

Range of motion

What is the cuff range of motion in walk mode?

The cuff provides a 60° range of motion, ensuring a natural stride during ascents.

Is the boot compatible with traditional alpine bindings?

No, its ISO 9523 rubber-lugged sole is designed for ski touring bindings and compatible hybrid systems.

Is the flex of 110 suitable for purely downhill skiing?

The flex offers a responsive feel ideal for freetouring, but it is tuned for mixed touring rather than dedicated piste performance.

What is the difference between the Radical Black Out Ultra Yellow and the Radical Pro Golden Lime Ultra Yellow?

The Pro Golden Lime features a stiffer flex of 120, a full Hoji Lock system, and a Driving Spoiler 2.0 for more aggressive descents. The Black Out has a flex of 110 with the Hoji Single Lock, making it more versatile across the freetouring spectrum.
