Description

The Cosmos White Red features the Cabrio Hybrid construction that provides good mobility when touring and precision in the descents. The shell is made from Pebax Rnew, a recycled material-based polymer that offers lightness, durability and cushioning. The boot remains light to make the ascents easy while being stiff enough to have a blast in the descents.

The materials picked by Scott to make this ski touring boot give it a flex rating of 110, powerful enough so that technical and sporty skiers can carve beautiful turns in the backcountry. The Pebax Rnew shell along with the comprehensive closure system (3 micro adjustable buckles + cable + Dynamic Power Strap) provide precision, responsiveness and control. However, this boot is not an alpine model, it is a touring one and it features an efficient ski/walk system. Called Rear Hook, it allows to switch from climbing to descending easily and offers a 60° range of motion enabling to walk with amplitude and efficiency. The boots also remain lightweight, weighing only 1440 g each. The memory foam liner is comfortable, while the 103.5 mm last offers enough room for wider feet.
