Description
Easy to use, the Tracker S avalanche beacon from Backcountry Access is one of the essential elements in your avalanche safety equipment. It comes with a holster and batteries, ready to use. It displays clear indications (distance, direction, etc). It benefits form a host of advanced features that improve the chances of finding a person buried under an avalanche.
Multiple Burial Indicator
If multiple people are buried, icons in the shape of a silhouette are displayed, corresponding to the signals received from their beacons. Once the first victim is detected and the location is marked, the Multiple Burial Indicator function allows you to search for the next victim while your team mates dig out the first one, and so on.
Signal suppression mode
Useful in case multiple people are buried under an avalanche. If you cannot switch off the first victim’s beacon after rescue, the signal suppression mode allows to focus on the weaker signal of the second victim.
Motion Sensing Auto Revert
The Motion Sensing Auto Revert system automatically switches the Track S from search to transmission mode if it does not detect any movement from you during 1 minute. This function is essential in the advent of a second avalanche, if you get buried.
Big Picture
This mode offers a global view of all the beacons in the search area, as well as their approximative direction. For a finer search, particularly at closer range, use the regular mode.
