Strap-in crampons

Strap-in mountaineering crampons are the simplest option on the market. They can be fitted to any hiking or mountain boot. However, their flexible strap fastening system does not provide as secure a fit as hybrid or step-in crampons, especially for technical mountaineering or ice climbing. On the other hand, they are perfect for trekking on hard snow, glacier travel, or for beginner and less committing mountaineering outings. Still, we recommend using mountaineering boots with semi-rigid or rigid soles to prevent accidental crampon loss.
