Product description — Retro Pile Black

The Patagonia Retro Pile is a zipped fleece that delivers easy-to-wear warmth for everyday use as well as outdoor outings in cool weather. Its recycled polyester Polartec® fabric uses a double-sided sherpa construction, with a thick, soft feel that helps retain warmth without making it complicated to wear. The full-length zip lets you ventilate quickly when the intensity rises, while the stand-up collar zips right to the top to reduce heat loss around the neck. This jacket can be worn easily as an outer layer in dry conditions or underneath a protective shell when the weather turns colder. Its construction remains comfort-focused, with controlled bulk and finishes designed to minimise chafing.

What storage is provided on this fleece?

It features a zipped chest pocket and two zipped handwarmer pockets. The pockets are mesh-lined and fitted with webbing zip pullers.

Do the finishes help reduce irritation?

Yes, the flat-seam construction reduces bulk at the joined areas and helps limit rubbing. The collar, cuffs and hem also feature a softer elasticated binding against the skin.
