What Are the Different Types of Glide Waxes?
Whether liquid or solid, there are several ranges of waxes depending on the desired performance level. Among them, we recommend the following types:

- LF or Low Fluor or associated ranges for better hydrophobic quality during your outings.
- HF or High Fluor or associated ranges used as a base for race waxing.

What Type of Glide Wax Should I Use?
This depends on your level and commitment to the sport. If you are a recreational or occasional skier, CH or LF waxes will suffice if you want more glide. For maintenance waxing, a cold wax is recommended. Cold wax is harder and drier, offering the advantage of being more abrasion-resistant and effectively protecting the bases.
For skiers who compete or seek more glide performance, HF, Cera, and accelerator wax ranges will be necessary for the best possible glide. These waxes are applied one after the other for optimal results.
What Accessories Should I Use to Apply Glide Wax?
For the application of solid waxes, which are best for maintenance, certain accessories are necessary and involve a certain investment that will be worthwhile in the medium to long term depending on your use.
For proper waxing, you will need:
- A waxing form
- A waxing iron
- Wax blocks of different temperatures to adapt to snow conditions
- A scraper
- A groove scraper
- A bronze or brass brush
- A soft nylon brush
- Fiberlene to thoroughly clean the base after waxing
