Bollé ski goggle technologies
Phantom and Phantom+: photochromic lenses
The Phantom lens automatically lightens or darkens according to ambient light levels. Its LTS (Low Temperature Sensitivity) technology ensures an effective response even in extremely cold conditions. The Phantom+ version also features a semi-polarised film that reduces glare from the snow while allowing enough light through for clear terrain definition. It is the ideal solution if you want a single pair of goggles for all conditions.
Volt: high-contrast lenses
Developed by Bollé, the Volt lens enhances colour and terrain definition. Moguls, patches of ice and changes in gradient are easier to identify, helping you ski with greater confidence.
Flow-Tech ventilation and dual lenses to prevent fogging
All the Bollé goggles in our selection feature Flow-Tech Venting™ alongside anti-fog and anti-scratch treatments. Most adult models also have a dual-lens construction to reduce condensation, plus a vented lens for improved airflow. More advanced models, such as the Nevada, Nevada Small, Royal and Eco Blanca, also benefit from P80 Plus / Carbo Glass® treatment.
Dual- or triple-density foam
The face foam provides comfort and creates a secure seal. Entry-level and mid-range models use dual-density foam, while the Nevada, Torus, Blackridge and Eco Blanca feature triple-density foam for improved hold and lasting comfort on long days.
How to choose your Bollé ski goggles
By face shape
Well-fitting goggles prevent cold air and stray light from getting in.
Narrow face: Nevada Small, Sierra or Eco Blanca.
Medium face: Bedrock, Bedrock Plus or Cascade.
Wide face: Nevada, Torus, Mammoth or Blackridge.
By weather conditions: lens category
A lens category indicates how much light it filters.
Category 0: clear lens for night skiing or extremely poor visibility.
Category 1: low light, fog or snowfall.
Category 2: changeable weather and the most versatile option.
Category 3: bright sunshine.
Photochromic: the lens adjusts automatically and covers several categories, up to Category 4 with Phantom 0-4 lenses for extremely bright conditions.
By lens shape: cylindrical or spherical
A cylindrical lens curves horizontally only, delivering a distinctive look and a wide field of view, as seen on the Nevada, Bedrock and Blackridge. A spherical lens curves both horizontally and vertically, reducing distortion around the edges; this design is used on the Torus and Royal.
Do you wear prescription glasses?
Bollé offers several OTG (Over The Glasses) goggles designed to fit over prescription eyewear: the Y7 OTG and Cascade for adults, and the Nevada Junior for children.
Key models in the Bollé range
Nevada: the brand’s flagship model. A cylindrical lens, vented dual-lens construction, triple-density foam and P80 Plus treatment make this a highly versatile pair of goggles for medium to wide faces. It is also available as the Nevada Small for narrower faces.
Torus: a spherical, dual-lens design and triple-density foam provide distortion-free vision and excellent comfort.
Mammoth: designed for wide faces, with a vented dual lens and silicone-backed strap for a secure fit on your helmet.
Blackridge: the latest model in the selection, featuring a cylindrical dual lens and triple-density foam for medium to wide faces.
Bedrock and Bedrock Plus: straightforward, effective cylindrical goggles that are helmet-compatible and ideal for getting properly equipped without breaking the bank.
Women's Bollé ski goggles
The Sierra and Eco Blanca are designed for narrow to medium faces. The Eco Blanca combines a dual lens, triple-density foam, silicone-backed strap and P80 Plus treatment, while the Sierra features a vented dual lens and dual-density foam. The Nevada Small is also an excellent option for narrower faces.
Children's Bollé ski goggles
Bollé caters for children of all ages with anti-fog goggles designed for helmet compatibility:
Inuk (ages 3 to 6): the ideal first pair of goggles for young skiers, with a cylindrical lens and Flow-Tech ventilation.
Rocket Plus (ages 6 to 10): a cylindrical lens and dual-density foam provide comfort for smaller faces.
Nevada Junior (ages 8 to 12): the Nevada look in a children's size, with a silicone-backed strap and OTG compatibility for children who wear glasses.
Royal: a spherical dual lens and P80 Plus treatment for juniors with medium-sized faces.
Frequently asked questions about Bollé ski goggles
What is the difference between Phantom and Volt?
Phantom is a photochromic lens that changes tint according to ambient light, making it suitable for changeable days. Volt is a fixed-tint, high-contrast lens that improves terrain definition, making it ideal when you already know what the day's conditions will be.
Which Bollé goggles should I choose for a child?
Choose according to age: the Inuk for ages 3 to 6, the Rocket Plus for ages 6 to 10 and the Nevada Junior for ages 8 to 12. Remember to check compatibility with their helmet.
