The Petzl Am'd Twist Lock carabiner is a D-shaped carabiner equipped with a two-movement locking system. Its shape is optimized for single-load work such as a connection to an anchor, for use with a grigri-type cam belay or figure-of-eight belay, or simply to snap your gear to your harness.
