Description

The Grigri from Petzl is the most famous assisted braking belay device. First of its kind, then imitated by other brands, the Petzl Grigri is still a reference in the field. It is confidence inspiring and really comfortable to use. It reduces the strain on the brake-side hand and allows to control descending speed easily with its ergonomic handle. It weighs 175 grams and mixes aluminium, steel and plastic (nylon) parts. It is meant to be used with a single rope from 8.5 to 11 mm diameter.
