Developed and prototyped at the ZAG Lab in Chamonix, ZAG skis cater to several different approaches to the mountain. The Mata features a directional shape designed primarily for skiing forwards, while the Slap range focuses on a more playful ride with twin-tip skis. The brand also develops dedicated touring models, available among the ZAG ski touring packages.

ZAG Mata: a directional 90 mm all-mountain ski
The ZAG Mata is the most directional model in the Zag collection. Its 90 mm waist, traditional camber and tip-and-tail rocker make it equally at home on groomers, in variable snow and in the side country. Its Heavy Duty construction incorporates a layer of Titanal to enhance support and power transmission. The Mata is therefore aimed at advanced to expert skiers looking for an all-mountain ski with stronger edge hold than the Slap models.
ZAG Slap 92, 100 or 112: which width should you choose?
The ZAG Slap range comprises three twin-tip models. Their underfoot camber, tip-and-tail rocker and multi-radius shape deliver a playful ride. From the Slap 92 to the Slap 112, the line-up progresses from lively all-mountain use towards backcountry freestyle and deep-snow skiing.
ZAG Slap 92: the most piste-oriented model
The Slap 92 is the narrowest ski in the series. It can carve, make the most of natural terrain features and ski switch, while remaining quicker from edge to edge than the wider Slap models. It is suitable for intermediate to advanced skiers seeking a fun all-mountain ski for exploring the entire resort.
ZAG Slap 100: more float for backcountry skiing
The Slap 100 replaces the Slap 98 and 104 in the current range. It retains a twin-tip shape, traditional camber and tip-and-tail rocker, but offers better float in powder than the Slap 92. It is the versatile middle option for alternating between pistes, side hits, natural jumps and backcountry.
ZAG Slap 112: focused on deep snow
The Slap 112 is the widest and most specialised model in the series. Its more pronounced rocker and Heavy Duty Light construction improve float and pivoting in powder. This ski is designed for advanced to expert riders who spend a significant proportion of their time skiing backcountry freestyle terrain and deep snow.
H86, H96 and H106: the former ZAG Harfang models
The ZAG H86, H96 and H106 feature a directional shape that sets them apart from the Slap line. The H86 prioritises piste performance and quick edge transitions. The H96 provides greater versatility in variable snow and off-piste, while the H106 is more firmly freeride-focused, offering better float in soft conditions. The H86 and H96 are also available in Lady versions.
