This model is part of the K2 Wayback series, touring and freerando skis offering an optimal power-to-weight ratio thanks to the Paulownia Tour Lite shell, as well as a very good maneuverability in various snow conditions thanks to the All-Terrain Rocker profile. Like all Waybacks, it features the Snophobic technology, a special coating that prevents the accumulation of snow on the top of the ski, which can be annoying when touring.

What is the programme of the K2 Wayback 84 ski?

With 84 mm width at the base, the Wayback 84 is one of the most balanced models in the Wayback series, offering lightness on the ascent and skiability on the descent. Wider, it increases in weight, thinner, it decreases in skiability. But now it's just perfect for touring when the conditions are right, while retaining a ski that's operational on piste and efficient in small powder snow. The rocker/camber/rocker profile provides good lift and effectively absorbs the roughness of the terrain, while keeping the ski sharp and with a good grip on hard snow. On a day of skiing on piste, the technical skier will reproach it for its slight lack of precision in cut turns, but it is still very pleasant to ski and you can link the descents without problems.

Who is the K2 Wayback 84 ski for?

If you are a beginner or are already used to making short trips off the beaten track, and are looking for a light ski on the way up but which remains efficient and pleasant to ski once back on the piste, the Wayback 84 is for you!

What are the main qualities of the K2 Wayback 84 ski?

Light on the way up

Efficient on descent

Tips and advice

On, you may feel overwhelmed by the amount of products we sell. How can you find the right skis, which ones can suit your level, your style or your budget?

Your options:

1. The advanced search engine: You'll find it everywhere on our website, as a sidebar on our listing pages. It allows you to select conditions and refine your selection: brand, level, style, etc. When you select them, only the relevant products will show.

2. You can contact us on the 020 3129 3301: skis feature fine technologies and affect your safety. It is important to make sure that the skis you've selected will suit you. Call our landline and get in touch with our team for any questions regarding these products.

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

- by our skiman : you can call us for any technical questions. Our skiman will do the final settings for you. Telephone : 020 3129 3301

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.

The manufacturer's guarantee will not apply if the problem comes from a misuse.
