The Capita Mega Mercury snowboard is a premium version of the Mercury model, featuring its directional twin shape, slightly set-back inserts and a hybrid profile that combines traditional camber with double rocker. A true gem of versatility, this board blends enhanced responsiveness, stability and power for riders seeking thrills across all terrain.

What is the Capita Mega Mercury snowboard made for?

The Mega Mercury stands out thanks to its ability to excel in any conditions, from hard-packed groomers to deep backcountry powder. Its traditional camber delivers solid edge hold on icy snow, while rockered tips and a slightly set-back stance improve float in deep snow and make turn initiation smoother. Compared to the standard Mercury, it features a stiffer flex for greater response and precision at high speeds—ideal for those who love powerful carving. The Starship Core—a blend of poplar wood and recycled PET—offers excellent pop, making it perfect for freestyle sessions in the terrain park.

Who is the Capita Mega Mercury snowboard aimed at?

The Mega Mercury is aimed at advanced to expert riders looking for a technical yet versatile board capable of handling anything: laying down big turns on groomers, sending jumps or charging through powder. Thanks to its premium construction, it promises performance, reliability and intense sensations no matter what terrain you tackle.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
