The Nidecker Micron Flake is a snowboard with a modern, no-frills construction. With a flat camber, rockers, flex and a symmetrical shape, it is based on a recipe that works throughout the resort and allows you to progress smoothly.  

What is the program of the Nidecker Micron Flake snowboard?  

The Micron Flake is a board that is really easy to ride, thanks to a resistant but light and flexible wood core, as well as a flat camber + rockers profile that provides lots of Comfort during edge/snow contact. This ensures a secure grip on the slopes, while maintaining tolerance on edge faults. It's perfect for beginners and in addition this profile also allows you to slide better on fresh snow at the edges of the piste and on transformed snow at the end of the day. Finally, the perfectly symmetrical shape and the well centered position of the feet allows the most daring to try their first freestyle tricks! With this board, little riders will quickly forget their hesitant beginnings on the green slopes and perform exploits throughout the resort!

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
