Which Salomon snowboard should you choose?
Your choice will depend primarily on your ability level and preferred terrain. The Pulse and Lotus focus on forgiveness and progression. The Sight and Bliss deliver a more directional ride for exploring the entire resort. The Craft, Assassin and Rumble Fish combine all-mountain capabilities with freestyle performance, while the Huck Knife models are specifically designed for the snowpark.
Pulse and Lotus: accessible snowboards for progression
The Salomon Pulse is one of the most accessible models in the men's range. Its soft flex, Directional Twin shape and Flat Out Camber profile make it a forgiving board suited to beginner and intermediate snowboarders. Bite Free edges also reduce the risk of catching an edge while learning.
The Salomon Lotus follows the same approach in the women's range. Its soft flex and Flat Out Camber allow riders to progress on the piste and begin exploring different terrain without requiring a particularly demanding riding style.
Sight and Bliss: for exploring the whole mountain
The Salomon Sight features a freeride-inspired Tapered Directional shape. Its Cross Profile camber combines camber between the feet with rocker at the tip and tail. This construction provides support on groomed runs while making turn initiation easier and improving float in powder.
The Salomon Bliss follows a similar philosophy for female snowboarders. Its tapered directional shape and Cross Profile enable it to maintain stability on the piste while performing better in soft snow than a board designed solely for learning.
Craft, Assassin and Rumble Fish: blending all-mountain and freestyle performance
The Salomon Craft is an all-mountain freestyle board for riders who want to move seamlessly between pistes, sidecountry terrain and the park on the same snowboard. Its Directional Twin shape and Rock Out Camber deliver a playful ride while providing more support than an entry-level model.
The Assassin steps up the responsiveness and technical performance. It retains a Directional Twin shape and Rock Out Camber, but benefits from a more sophisticated construction featuring Popster, Bamboo Rods and Basalt Boosters. It is designed for advanced riders looking for a board capable of handling carving, side hits, freestyle and fresh snow.
The Rumble Fish occupies a similar position in the women's range. Its Directional Twin shape and Rock Out Camber provide enough versatility to transition from carving to freestyle tricks and fresh-powder sessions.
Huck Knife: Salomon's park freestyle range
The Salomon Huck Knife is designed primarily for freestyle riding. Its True Twin shape makes riding regular and switch equally comfortable, while its Quad Camber provides additional support and responsiveness.
The Huck Knife Pro builds on this platform with a lighter, more demanding construction. Its stiff flex, Ghost Green Core and Ghost Carbon Beam reinforcements are aimed at advanced to expert snowboarders seeking greater stability, pop and precision in the park.
For women, the Oh Yeah offers a more accessible approach to freestyle, with a softer flex and True Twin shape that allow riders to progress in the park without requiring the same level of commitment as the Huck Knife Pro.
Fastlane, Jetstream and Highpath: more directional boards
For riders who place greater emphasis on carving, speed and freeriding, Salomon also offers snowboards with a more directional character.
The Fastlane is aimed at snowboarders with strong technical skills who want a responsive board particularly well suited to long carving turns and freeride descents.
