The Premiere targets the nature lovers, those who look for the ultimate freedom. It’s the snowboard (or splitboard to be precise) that will take you to the far end of the mountain with a ridiculous ease and deliver breathtaking freeride performance on the downhill.
What can the Salomon Premiere splitboard do?
The first mission of a splitboard is to lead you away from the crowds and venture through the unknown part of the mountain. Lay a track where nobody else has. To do so, the board is a bit special as it can split into two skis to which you can attach skins for climbing up easily. The main problem of traditional splitboards is that the two skis are super wide, heavy and bulky which is not what you want for efficient ascents. The Premiere innovates in the sense that it doesn’t split in two but in four parts. There are basically three skis with the middle ski that you can split in half and put in your backpack. This allows you to use two skis with a regular width. They are lighter, easier to use and perform better. The whole system is very easy to mount even with your gloves. On the downhill, when the board’s back together, it delivers a great freeride feel with tons of power, a natural floatation and a solid edge control on hard snow.
Who is the Salomon Premiere splitboard designed for?
A high end board for riders who demand the best quality and performance to their equipment. Advanced and expert freeriders will be more than happy with this innovative product allowing to use light and nimble skis up the hill and a high performance board on the way down. Suited for those who tour a lot.
