Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Nidecker Escape snowboard is designed for freeriding thanks to its directional shape, which features a tapered tail and a setback stance, enhancing manoeuvrability in powder. However, this versatile board also excels on groomers due to its traditional camber.

What is the Nidecker Escape snowboard made for?

The Escape has a subtle directional shape, with a tail slightly narrower than the nose and bindings set back by 30 mm. These characteristics promote excellent manoeuvrability in powder while offering remarkable versatility. On groomers, its traditional camber profile ensures optimal edge hold for precise turns. The wider nose and rearward centre of gravity provide effective float in deep snow. The flexible tips add a playful touch, making it easier to initiate turns and allowing for switch riding. Nidecker's Master Wood Core brings pop and stability, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable ride.

Who is the Nidecker Escape snowboard aimed at?

The Nidecker Escape is ideal for advanced snowboarders who love carving beautiful turns in backcountry powder while occasionally dabbling in all-mountain freestyle.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
