With a modern, freestyle-oriented construction, the Nidecker Micron Merc is ideal to start off and progress on the slopes. A board with a flat camber and rockers, a soft flex and symmetrical shape, that’ll be easy to ride and capable of venturing everywhere.  

What is the programme of the Nidecker Micron Merc snowboard?   

The Micron Merc has a wood core that offers both durability and flexibility. It makes the board easy to ride and not physically demanding even for a small rider, who will be able to use it all day long without tiring. The flat camber and rockers provide a confidence inspiring snow feel, offering the required grip while being very forgiving when catching an edge. Ideal to learn carved turns at your pace. In addition, this profile also works on side hits, absorbing the irregularities of the terrain and floating on shallow powder. Finally, thanks to the perfectly symmetrical shape, ideal for freestyle, risk-takers will be able to give terrain park features a go!

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
