With the Ultra Solution, Jones offers a high-performance splitboard with a freeride-oriented shape and high-end construction offering maximum efficiency. The sustainable construction uses a wood core reinforced by carbon, recycled sidewalls and edges, bio sourced glue and wax. Putting the board together is achieved thanks to Karakoram clips that are lightweight and reliable and ensure good torsional stiffness for the descents.

What is the program of the Jones Ultra Solution snowboard?

The Ultra Solution benefits from Jones’ Ultra construction’s incredible power/weight ratio, using various types of wood and carbon fibre. The descending performances are great and the ascents are made easier by the board’s lightness. This snowboard allows you to reach magnificent spots far away from the resorts and ensures the power and stability required to ride steep lines. With a directional shape, large volume nose with a substantial rocker, tapered and stiffer tail and setback inserts, the Ultra Solution guarantees precision and efficient handling in any condition. It lifts perfectly in powder and the classic camber in the middle along with the Traction Tech 2.0 edges ensure grip and stability on hardpack.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.

Is my board ready-to-use ?

The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

How to maintain your equipment ?

Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
