The story began in the end of the 19th century with Séraphin Bollé who manufactured combs and hair accessories at the time. The company grew fast and in 1936 it builds its first sunglasses and optic frames in Celluloïd, then in Rhodoïd. After World War II, Bollé incorporates moulded nylon in the construction of the products launches a line of protection glasses and goggles. Then come the first ski goggles, followed by ski helmets and visor helmets with the best-selling model being the Backline Visor. The brand is now sold worldwide and worn by athletes in numerous sports including wintersports, tennis, golf, biking and watersports.
