The Ultra Raptor by La Sportiva comes in low-cut and mid-cut versions. It is perfectly suited to various hiking styles. Models with a Gore-Tex Extended Comfort membrane offer total waterproofness and suitable breathability for wet conditions, while versions without Gore-Tex prioritise better airflow, ideal for dry conditions.

The sophisticated lacing system with eyelets integrated into the upper distributes tension evenly, increasing comfort and support. The robust rand protects against debris. The FriXion White outsole, featuring the Impact Brake System, ensures superior grip and optimal shock absorption on uneven terrain.

These features make the Ultra Raptor II an excellent choice for quick excursions on well-maintained trails or demanding mountain treks.

When to use the GTX version with the Gore-Tex membrane?

The GTX version of the Ultra Raptor II is ideally designed for wet environments. Boasting a Gore-Tex membrane, this shoe offers excellent waterproof protection while maintaining optimal breathability, essential for long hikes. Whether crossing a stream, walking in pouring rain, or trekking on muddy trails, the GTX keeps your feet dry, enhancing comfort and preventing friction and injuries caused by moisture.

Difference between low-cut and mid-cut models

The two versions of the Ultra Raptor, low-cut and mid-cut, have similar features. However, the mid-cut model offers additional ankle protection with its Comfort Collar. It is suitable for rough terrain and perfectly suited for carrying light loads during a trek. We recommend the low-cut version for its lightness and flexibility, ideal for fast hiking on less challenging terrain.
