La Sportiva Bushido 2 for Men, an Overview

The Bushido II is an exceptionally lightweight and aggressive trail running shoe, designed for both short and long distances. Originally developed for skyrunning races, this model boasts numerous complementary technologies, designed to enhance your performance across various terrains with maximum comfort and support. The men's version, weighing 300 grams per shoe, comes in two colourways, both tailored for men with average-sized feet: Black Yellow and Black Clay.

Main Specifications:

  • TPU Skeleton (with STB Control construction): Integrated into the midsole, this technology provides great overall stability by better distributing pressure points, especially on the medial part of the foot. Ideal for running on rugged terrain.
  • Bi-mesh Frixion Red Sole: This sole offers excellent grip on varied terrains while being durable. It ensures formidable traction in all conditions, for confident strides with every step. The Impact Brake System uses specific patterns under the shoe to ensure effective braking on descents and efficient impact absorption.
  • Inner Soles: The Bushido II includes several complementary soles. The compression EVA midsole with Stability Control System provides efficient cushioning and shock absorption, while the 4 mm Ortholite Ergonomic insole adds a great level of comfort over time.
  • Breathable Air Mesh Upper: Thanks to ot, you can push your limits on each run without overheating your feet. It offers essential breathability for races of all types.
  • Reinforcements: On this model, a robust toe cap and thermoplastic film reinforcements provide effective protection against impacts with rocks or protruding roots.
  • New Heel: Ensures a better heel fit for maximum comfort.
  • Drop: It has a drop of 6 mm.

The Bushido II for Women

In the Bushido range, the women's version features the same characteristics including the Breathable Air Mesh Upper, reinforcements, new heel, TPU skeleton, and soles. Also available in two colourways, Hibiscus Malibu Blue and the Slate Aqua. Slightly lighter than the men's version, its 250 grams per shoe make it a delight for light-footed running! Breathable, protective against stones and roots, stable, and with formidable grip on all surfaces, it is ideal for both short and long-distance runs, perfect for women with wider feet.

How does the La Sportiva Bushido 2 fit?

The La Sportiva Bushido II offers a slightly snug fit. Compared to city shoes, you may need to take a half size or a full size bigger to feel perfectly comfortable, while still maintaining excellent support.

What is the purpose of the 6 mm drop?

The ‘droop’ of a running shoe is an essential characteristic that directly influences the running experience. The drop refers to the height difference between the heel and the forefoot of the shoe. In the case of the Bushido II, the drop is 6 mm, meaning the heel is slightly elevated compared to the forefoot.
