Enforcer 89, 94, 99 or 104: which ski for which use?

The four Enforcer models share an Energy 2 Ti Pulse Core construction. Nordica combines a wood core with an elastomer Pulse Core, the whole assembly being sandwiched between two layers of titanal. This design aims to deliver a stable ride, excellent power transfer and improved vibration damping. The difference between the models therefore lies largely in their width, shape and ability in powder.

Enforcer 89: the closest to piste performance

At 89 mm underfoot, the Enforcer 89 is the most piste-focused version in the Enforcer family. Its width still allows for a good edge-to-edge transition for an all-mountain ski, while the camber underfoot supports grip on firm snow. The tip rocker and turned-up tail, however, broaden its remit to piste margins and less consistent snow. It is aimed mainly at advanced to expert skiers who want a solid, dependable ride on piste without being restricted.

Enforcer 94: more ease as the snow deteriorates

The Enforcer 94 adds 5 mm underfoot and noticeably shifts the balance. It remains capable of carving long turns on firm snow, but its wider platform gives more support when conditions become soft, chopped-up or uneven. It is a logical choice for the skier who spends plenty of time on piste but wants more freedom on the edges and in variable snow.

Enforcer 99: the bridge model between piste and off-piste

At 99 mm underfoot, the Enforcer 99 moves further away from a piste-biased ski. Its width improves support in fresh snow and transformed snow, while the dual titanal construction keeps it feeling strong under pressure. It is therefore aimed at advanced to expert skiers who genuinely split their day between pistes, piste-side terrain and off-piste rather than those who only occasionally leave the groomers.

Enforcer 104: priority on softer snow

The Enforcer 104 is the widest in the line at 104 mm underfoot. This width increases float and makes the ski more relevant in powder, spring snow and deep snow than the narrower Enforcers. It retains the wood core, Pulse Core and twin titanal layers of the range, but its dimensions clearly shift its preferred terrain away from the piste. The 104 is still usable on groomed runs, but an Enforcer 89 or 94 will make more sense if carving is the priority.

Santa Ana 82 to 97: four women’s skis, from piste to off-piste

The Santa Ana range is Nordica’s women’s all-mountain line and is therefore aimed at female skiers. It uses the TSM Pulse Core construction. Nordica combines a Performance Wood core, an elastomer Pulse Core and a layer of Terrain Specific Metal. The amount and placement of metal are tuned to each ski in order to provide support while preserving the desired suppleness. This construction technically sets the Santa Ana apart from the Enforcer: these are not simply the same skis offered in different sizes.

Santa Ana 82: the most piste-orientated choice

The Santa Ana 82 is the narrowest of the Santa Ana series. Its 82 mm waist makes edge-to-edge transitions easier and makes it the most piste-oriented model. Its all-mountain rocker still gives it more freedom in bumps, chopped snow and piste-side terrain than a ski designed purely for carving. It is the Santa Ana to choose for a skier whose riding remains overwhelmingly on piste.

Santa Ana 87: a first real step into all-mountain skiing

The Santa Ana 87 remains narrow enough to feel comfortable on firm snow, while offering more surface area and easier handling in soft snow than the 82. It therefore sits at the heart of an all-mountain approach while still retaining a strong piste presence. Its TSM Pulse Core construction combines stability and suppleness without adopting the twin titanal layers used in the Enforcer.

Santa Ana 92: for splitting more time between different terrain

With 92 mm underfoot, the Santa Ana 92 gives more room to softer snow. Its camber and construction maintain support on firm snow, while the double rocker and extra width make it easier to pivot and improve performance once the snow becomes deeper. It is particularly well suited to advanced female skiers who no longer want to choose their ski mainly on the basis of piste use.

Santa Ana 97: the most off-piste-orientated in this selection

The Santa Ana 97 takes this logic further with 97 mm underfoot. It provides more surface area in fresh snow and feels more appropriate for riding where off-piste, chopped snow and soft conditions play a major role. Its TSM Pulse Core construction combines wood core, elastomer and Terrain Specific Metal to preserve support when the pace picks up. For a skier whose time is spent mainly on piste, however, the Santa Ana 82 or 87 remain the better fit.

Enforcer 80 S and Santa Ana 80 S: two genuine junior skis

The Enforcer 80 S FDT and Santa Ana 80 S FDT do not use the metal-reinforced construction of the adult models. Nordica instead uses an Energy CA architecture with a Lite Performance Wood core, designed around a more suitable flex for young skiers. Their all-mountain rocker makes turn initiation easier and gives more freedom in bumps and soft snow.

The Enforcer 80 S is aimed at young skiers progressing towards a more sporting style across the resort. The Santa Ana 80 S follows a similar approach for young female skiers, with a wood core and a flex designed to encourage confidence and progression.

Nordica skis for all-mountain skiing

The Enforcer and Santa Ana occupy the all-mountain side of Nordica’s range, with the Santa Ana forming the line aimed at female skiers, from strongly piste-biased models to skis that feel much more at home in softer snow.
