Sender Pro: an all-mountain entry point into the family

The Rossignol Sender Pro occupies a distinct place in the range. With a 90 mm waist, it is aimed at teenagers and lighter skiers who want to alternate between groomed runs, the side country and their first off-piste outings. Its traditional camber combined with tip and tail rocker retains good edge grip on firm snow while making the ski easier to pivot in fresh conditions.

Its construction features a paulownia core, Rectangular Sidewall technology, fibreglass and the VAS system. This makes it more of a progressive all-mountain ski than a Sender primarily designed for deep snow.

Sender 100: the most versatile freeride ski in the adult range

The Sender 100 marks the move towards a clearly freeride-focused design. Its tip and tail rocker and Air Tip reduce weight at the tips and make pivoting easier, while the camber underfoot maintains reliable edge hold when the snow hardens.

Rossignol features a PEFC-certified poplar core, Rectangular Full Sidewall construction, the VAS system and a Progressive Sidecut on this model. Its friendly handling and narrower profile compared with the Sender 110 and 118 make it the most suitable option when all-round versatility remains important.

Sender 110: greater float in powder

The Sender 110 has a waist width of around 109 to 111 mm depending on length and is aimed at advanced to expert skiers. Its tip and tail rocker and Air Tip underline its focus on powder, while the camber provides a stable platform when conditions become firmer.

Its construction also sets it apart from the Sender 100. Rossignol combines the PEFC-certified poplar core with Carbon Alloy Matrix reinforcement and a Titanal Beam underfoot. The Sender 110 is better suited to hard-charging freeride skiing, delivering greater stability and response when the terrain becomes rough or speeds increase.

Sender 118: deep snow comes first

With a 118 mm waist, the Sender 118 is the widest model in this range. It is designed for deep-snow days, open faces and terrain where float is the top priority.

Rossignol equips it with a PEFC-certified poplar core, Rectangular Full Sidewall construction, Air Tip, VAS, Progressive Sidecut and Twin Rocker.

The Sender 118 can still find edge grip when the snow becomes firmer thanks to its camber underfoot, but its width naturally makes it slower from edge to edge than a Sender 100. It truly reveals its potential on big powder days.

Sender 100 or 110: where should you draw the line?

The choice between the two mainly depends on how much time you expect to spend in deep snow and how aggressively you want to ski. The Sender 100 makes it easier to tackle varied terrain and regularly return to groomed snow. The Sender 110 places greater emphasis on off-piste skiing and adds specific reinforcements to support a more powerful, committed style.

Moving up to the Sender 118 represents another step: its width makes it a considerably more specialised choice for powder sessions.

Sender Kid, Jr Kid-X and Jr Xpress: three options for young skiers

Rossignol also extends the Sender line to young skiers, with models suited to different ages and stages of progression, from learning to the first explorations beside the marked trails.

The Sender Kid covers the shortest lengths and helps young skiers develop their skills. Its Cap construction, Microcell core and tip rocker prioritise easy, accessible handling.

The Sender Jr Kid-X comes in longer sizes, with a 74 mm waist in the reference length. It retains a Cap construction with a Microcell core and fibreglass.

The Sender Jr Xpress Jr is aimed at older children or those who are already more technically confident. It remains most at home on groomers and around the edges of marked runs, while offering enough versatility to discover the joys of skiing fresh snow.

What about female skiers?

For a women-specific approach to freeride skiing, explore the Rossignol Rallybird range. It features its own models and constructions, with all-mountain and freeride skis that complements the Sender family rather than simply being a women’s version of it.
