Description

The Baltoro 2.0 is back for another season and returns with the same ambitions, covering the mountain with its tracks. There is no big change compared to the previous version with a similar woodcore offering lightweight and power, a 84mm underfoot platform for powder support and a carbon tip for saving as much weight as possible. The real new thing is its look. The sober black and red 2016 version turns into a bright yellow for 2017!

What can the Dynafit Baltoro 2.0 touring ski do?

If you look for a ski that makes no compromise on performance, for a ski that feels light through the ascents and lively on the descent, you just found it. Weighing only 1490g in 176cm, you get a responsive and effortless ride for your tours. Whatever your mood or the conditions, the ski works everywhere and the higher, the better. When the ascent has come to an end and you’re looking at the slope from the top, it’s time for the ski to show you what it’s capable of. Featuring a nice rockered tip and a smaller rockered tail, the ski pivots effortlessly even in deep pow and links smooth turns as if it was easy. It works more than well on crud snow and feels stable all the way down. Careful though, with the extreme lightweight and the rockered tip, the Baltoro 2.0 tends to chatter a bit a high speed. Nothing major though, it doesn’t spoil its versatility. From wide pow fields to narrow couloirs, the mountain is your new playground.

Who is the Dynafit Baltoro 2.0 touring ski designed for?

Pretty easy to manage, lighter and quite playful, this tour player is ideally suited for intermediate and advanced skiers looking for a do-it-all ski. The Baltoro 2.0 spares you from the eternal question: what are the conditions like today? Because it deals with them all.

Tips and advice

On glisshop.co.uk, you may feel overwhelmed by the amount of products we sell. How can you find the right skis, which ones can suit your level, your style or your budget?

Your options:

1. The advanced search engine: You'll find it everywhere on our website, as a sidebar on our listing pages. It allows you to select conditions and refine your selection: brand, level, style, etc. When you select them, only the relevant products will show.

2. You can contact us on the 020 3129 3301: skis feature fine technologies and affect your safety. It is important to make sure that the skis you've selected will suit you. Call our landline and get in touch with our team for any questions regarding these products.

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

- by our skiman : you can call us for any technical questions. Our skiman will do the final settings for you. Telephone : 020 3129 3301

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.

The manufacturer's guarantee will not apply if the problem comes from a misuse.
