Alpine Ski Dynafit Laila Peak

Ski sold without binding.

The Laila Peak is to women what the Seven Summits is to men: a fantastic touring ski. Versatile and comfortable, it provides the best of both worlds, effortless climbing and great skiing. The 2017 version is the same as the previous one. Same graphics, same construction, same rocker, paulownia, poplar, the Laila Peak is as light as it used to be and it’s for the best.

What can the Dynafit Laila Peak touring ski do?

It is the lightest touring ski in Dynafit’s women lineup. Using the Laila Peak means leading the way as nobody else should be able to walk faster than you. You should even surprise yourself by reaching the peak without feeling out of breath and having the joy of watching others complaining about their legs on fire. Depending on the length you pick, you’ll get a waist width varying from 79mm to 82mm which is the perfect width for keeping a responsive ski that’s agile and supportive at the same time. Without being a freerider, the Laila Peak offers a reliable floatation on soft snow and delivers great all-terrain performance for you to explore the mountain further. The carbon features coupled with the triple radius makes the ski light and super agile.

Who is the Dynafit Laila Peak touring ski designed for?

Considering how light the ski feels, we recommend it to women skiers who like to skin up more than the rest. The Laila Peak is a climber, light, agile, effortless, it was made to spare you and help you do long tours. The ski is pretty easy to manage and would be a good match for intermediate and advanced tourers.

Structure - Construction

  • Carbon Speed Stringer  :

Optimised weight-performance ratio without using carbon is almost unthinkable. The Dynafit lightweight construction systems are designed to enable you to increase the torsional rigidity of our boot-binding systems at any time, to allow more athletic handling and turn up the speed for tour descents. That’s why Dynafit sees the use of carbon roving stringer at the girt as a natural progression. This optimises the ski’s vibration damping capability and ability to regain its original position without having to sacri ce any of the ski’s forgiving and friendly handling or its wide application range.

  • Biaxial fiberglass + Carbon  :

Biaxial top and bottom layers with fiberglass and carbon reinforcements allow a better torsional stiffness and optimum gliding abilities.

  • Micro sidewall  :

Using less materials in the sidewalls makes the ski lighter. The horizontal structure of the sidewalls makes them 50% stronger compared to standard sidewalls.

Camber type

  • Classic camber  :

When the ski sits flat on the ground, the tip and the tail are in contact with it while the midsection rises above. It is this section that maximises the energy transmission towards the edge, ideal for piste skiing. It also provides a rebound which enhances energy return and pop.

Rocker type

  • Tip and tail rocker  :

Full length rocker perfect for surfing powder. It floats easily and ensures smooth and effortless turns. Landings are easier too.

  • Triple Radius  :

The 20m radius under the binding offers effective edge control on hard and icy terrains. This geometry was specifically designed for wide skis. The smaller radius featured in the stiffer zones ensures optimal safety on hard and icy grounds.
