Description

The Movement Vertex is an all-mountain ski shaped for ski touring and go on an adventure. Its weight has been reduced to the maximum thanks to its karuba core and ultra light carbon fiber. We have here a blade with 1400g on the scale for a 177cm ski, perfect to be mounted with insert touring bindings to leave the crowded slopes and explore the entire mountain. On a construction side, the Vertex offers a tip and tail rocker to ease turn entrances and exits on packed snow and to float in deep.

What can the Movement Vertex ski do?

Its lightness predisposes it to great uphill and downhill touring sessions even on several days trip. You will save energy during the ascent and arrive on the top still fresh to be able to enjoy the descent even more. Have a drink, put the skins away, lock the bindings and boots back to ski more and drop in. The Vertex only offers a 84mm waist but the tip rocker does a great job to keep you afloat in deep. You won’t float as much as if you were riding a fat freeride ski but the manoeuvres are effortless thanks to its modern shape. If you encounter crud snow, you can trust the classic camber to grip and get you out of there. The Vertex is also powerful on the slopes and will please skiers looking for a single pair of ski for this winter.

Who is the Movement Vertex ski designed for?

This men’s touring ski is designed for confirmed skiers looking for light and versatile blades to have fun on the whole mountain and enjoy a total freedom of action.

Tips and advice

On glisshop.co.uk, you may feel overwhelmed by the amount of products we sell. How can you find the right skis, which ones can suit your level, your style or your budget?

Your options:

1. The advanced search engine: You'll find it everywhere on our website, as a sidebar on our listing pages. It allows you to select conditions and refine your selection: brand, level, style, etc. When you select them, only the relevant products will show.

2. You can contact us on the 020 3129 3301: skis feature fine technologies and affect your safety. It is important to make sure that the skis you've selected will suit you. Call our landline and get in touch with our team for any questions regarding these products.

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

- by our skiman : you can call us for any technical questions. Our skiman will do the final settings for you. Telephone : 020 3129 3301

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.

The manufacturer's guarantee will not apply if the problem comes from a misuse.
