Both backpacks feature the VariQuick system, which enables to adjust the back length to ensure optimal lumbar and back comfort. The removable top lid, which adds 5 litres of capacity, can be detached when not needed, reducing the pack’s weight during fast ascents.

Differences Between Men’s and Women’s Models

Women’s hiking backpacks and men’s backpacks in the Deuter Aircontact range are tailored to suit each gender’s anatomy.

Within each Deuter backpack category, there’s an SL series (Special Lady). These women-specific models typically have slightly smaller capacities, shorter back panels, and narrower S-shaped shoulder straps. The hip stabilizers are conically shaped to better fit the hips.
