Oakley

In 1975, Jim Jannard founded his own company and designed his first sunglasses, betting on a unique style, advanced technical specs and unrivaled quality. The bet was a sheer success and 40 years later the brand Oakley had become one of the most popular sunglasses brand and one of the most purchased sports brand worldwide. Today Oakley is still designing sunglasses and ski goggles, such as the Flight Deck model, that are renowned for the quality of their lenses, especially those featuring the Prizm tech. They also launched their very first Oakley ski helmets, the MOD 5 and the MOD 3, which are packed with the latest safety, venting systems, comfort and fit technologies. Thanks to the Modular Brim System these helmets guarantee the perfect fit between the ski goggle and the helmet, particularly with the Airbrake XL and the Flight Deck XM from the new collection . Oakley sunglasses and goggles such as the Line Miner model were first designed to support athletes perform at their best. Yet they have become genuine fashion accessories throughout the years, thanks to their clever blend of ultra trendy styles and innovative technologies.

Oakley: high-quality lenses and frames

Historically, the Oakley brand has been associated with a unique material: unobtainium. This word, borrowed from the world of science fiction, refers to a type of rubber that adheres to the skin, even when wet. From this discovery, Jim Jannard envisioned sports sunglasses that wouldn't slip due to sweat. The first pair, the O-Frame, was released in the early 1980s, specifically designed for motorcycling. The models that followed quickly gained attention, especially in the cycling world. Greg Lemond, three-time Tour de France winner, became one of the brand's first ambassadors.
