Oakley Fall Line goggles

The Oakley Fall Line combines a wide cylindrical lens with a clean, streamlined frame design to maximise the field of view. The range comes in two sizes: the Fall Line M for medium faces and the Fall Line L for larger faces. Both models are available with different Prizm lenses, whose tints and transmission levels make it possible to choose a set-up suited to the light conditions encountered in the mountains. Fall Line M or Fall Line L: mainly a question of size

The choice between the two Oakley Fall Line models depends primarily on face size. The Fall Line M corresponds to Medium size and is aimed at medium-sized faces. The Fall Line L uses the same design in a Large size for larger faces. So this is not a question of performance hierarchy: the two sizes share the essential technologies.

Oakley also designs the Fall Line to work with most ski helmets. Discreet notches are built into the frame at the temples to leave room for most prescription glasses. This design makes the Fall Line a strong option for skiers looking for OTG goggles.

Prizm Snow lenses for different light conditions

Optics are one of the key strengths of the Fall Line range. The Prizm Snow technology is developed to enhance colour and contrast differences in order to make terrain details easier to read. But not all Prizm Snow lenses are the same: each tint has its own light transmission and is matched to a given light range.

The Fall Line family can therefore take a wide variety of lenses, including Prizm Snow Black Iridium, Torch Iridium, Sapphire Iridium, Argon Iridium, Garnet, Sage Gold Iridium, as well as options designed for lower light levels. This allows the goggles to be set up for bright sunshine, mixed conditions or overcast weather, rather than expecting a single lens to cover every situation effectively.

Oakley also refines the quality of its lenses beyond Prizm technology alone. The Fall Line uses a double lens injection-moulded in Plutonite and an F3 anti-fog coating. Depending on the version, an Iridium coating can also be added to the lens to manage glare and light transmission.

Ridgelock: change lens without changing goggles

The Ridgelock system allows the Fall Line lens to be removed and replaced. Oakley offers spare lenses specific to the M and L sizes, with several Prizm Snow tints. This modular approach lets you keep the same frame and fit a different lens when light conditions change significantly or when a lens needs replacing.

Replacement lenses are size-specific: choose a Fall Line M lens for M goggles and a Fall Line L lens for L goggles.

A wide field of view with a cylindrical lens

The Fall Line belongs to Oakley’s cylindrical-lens goggle family. Its visually very low-profile frame frees up a large lens area and boosts peripheral vision. This design is one of the main aesthetic and functional differences between the Fall Line and goggles whose frame remains more visible around the lens.

O Matter, triple-layer foam and a double lens to reduce fogging

The supple O Matter structure is designed to retain flexibility when temperatures drop and to follow the shape of the face. It is paired with a triple-layer face foam with a soft lining that promotes comfort and moisture wicking.

Fog management relies on the double-lens construction and the F3 anti-fog coating. The double glazing creates a barrier between the cold outside air and the air inside the goggles, while the coating on the inner surface completes the system. As with any pair of ski goggles, its effectiveness also depends on ventilation remaining unobstructed and on good compatibility with the helmet.

Which Oakley Fall Line should you choose?

The first criterion is face size: Fall Line M for a medium face, Fall Line L for a larger face. Then comes the lens choice. A tint designed for strong sunlight does not meet the same need as a lens intended for overcast skies or mixed conditions. The breadth of the Prizm Snow range and the ability to replace the lens via the Ridgelock system are precisely what allow the Fall Line to be adapted to these different situations.

The Fall Line M and L therefore share the same philosophy: a large cylindrical lens, a discreet frame, a supple O Matter structure and interchangeable lenses. The difference between the two goggles is mainly the size of the frame; the lens choice then determines the light range in which the goggles will perform best.
