Overview of the Faction Agent ski range

Faction Agent 1: the narrowest in the line-up

With an 86 mm waist, the Faction Agent 1 is the model most focused on uphill efficiency. Its lightweight karuba core is paired with full-length carbon-fibre reinforcement to reduce weight while retaining support on the descent.

Its traditional camber and tip and tail rockers maintain grip on firmer snow while making direction changes easier. It is intended for intermediate to advanced skiers who prioritise versatility, big elevation gains and conditions where a narrower ski remains advantageous.

Faction Agent 2: the most versatile

The Faction Agent 2 features a 96 mm waist. This mid-width platform provides a well-balanced combination of uphill efficiency and powder capability.

It also features a karuba core, full-length carbon fibres and traditional camber combined with tip and tail rockers. Its Elliptical Radius Sidecut also allows skiers to vary turn shapes. This model suits intermediate to advanced skiers looking for a touring ski capable of tackling a broad range of routes and snow conditions.

Faction Agent 3: a more freeride-focused option

With a 106 mm waist, the Faction Agent 3 is the widest ski in the Agent line-up. This width makes it better suited to tours where fresh snow and off-piste descents are a major focus.

Its lightweight karuba core, carbon reinforcement, traditional camber and double rocker retain the range's core construction principles. The Agent 3 is aimed at advanced to expert skiers seeking greater float and support in soft snow without moving to a ski designed exclusively for downhill performance.

Agent 1, 2 or 3: which should you choose?

Model	Waist width	Ability level	Focus	Best suited to
Agent 1	86 mm	Intermediate - advanced	All-round touring with an uphill focus	Big days out, firm snow and varied routes
Agent 2	96 mm	Intermediate - advanced	All-round ski touring	A balance between ascent and descent performance
Agent 3	106 mm	Advanced - expert	Freeride-oriented touring	Float in powder

Lightweight construction with a karuba and carbon core

All three Agent models share several construction principles. They use a karuba core combined with full-length carbon-fibre reinforcement. The aim is to keep weight down for the ascent without making the ski overly light or limiting its downhill capability.

The Agent skis also use traditional camber combined with tip and tail rockers. This profile maintains edge contact over firmer sections while making it easier to pivot in powder.

A range that prioritises downhill performance as much as uphill efficiency

The Faction Agent skis are not designed solely around achieving the lowest possible weight. Instead, the differences between the three models allow skiers to fine-tune the balance between efficiency on the climb and performance on the descent.

The Agent 1 is the most suitable option when climbing efficiency and firmer conditions are the priorities. The Agent 2 is the most versatile choice for tackling varied routes and snow types. The Agent 3 is aimed more at skiers willing to use a wider ski to gain confidence and float in powder while adopting a more freeride-oriented approach.
