What is Burton Snowboards’ [AK] range?

The [AK] range is the result of the close collaboration between Burton’s designers and pro riders, who provide their expertise and feedback directly from the terrain. This partnership allows to develop highly technical, durable, and comfortable products that meet the specific needs of the most demanding riders. [AK] products are designed to offer optimal performance without compromising on style nor comfort, with advanced technologies and high-quality materials.

[AK] products include jackets, trousers, mid-layers, gloves, and accessories, all designed to work together has a fully integrated system. Each piece is meticulously designed to offer maximum protection from the weather while guaranteeing unrivalled freedom of movement.

The various products in Burton’s [AK] range

Jackets with or without Gore-Tex

The jackets in the [AK] range are among Burton’s flagship items. They’re designed to offer superior thermal insulation, great waterproofness, and exceptional breathability. You’ve got plenty of choice among the multiple models featuring Gore-Tex technology, guaranteeing weather protection while allowing moisture to escape, making sure riders stay dry and comfortable, no matter the weather conditions. Other jackets and vests also exist without Gore-Tex, to offer a wide range of options. Some are made of Softshell to protect you on spring sessions or for your daily life.

Trousers with or without Gore-Tex as well

[AK] pants perfectly complement the jackets in the same range. With their ergonomic fit and strong fabrics, they offer optimal freedom of movement, while protecting you from snow, wind, and water. Just like the ski jackets, these trousers benefit from Gore-Tex to provide great weather protection. Some pants are made of Softhell, a windproof fabric.

Ultra-warm mid-layers

[AK] mid and base layers are developed to be worn under the jackets and trousers, providing additional insulation without feeling bulky. Using advanced materials such as Polartec for optimal warmth and effective moisture wicking, these mid-layers are essential to retain a comfortable body temperature throughout the day.

Ski gloves and mitts

The gloves and mittens in the [AK] range are designed to keep your hands dry and warm in the coldest conditions. They combine thermal insulation, waterproofness, and breathability, with enough dexterity to manipulate bindings and other gear without needing to take them off. [AK] gloves are a key element for any rider wishing to keep their hands comfortable in cold weather. As for the jackets and trousers, most of the models feature Gore-Tex technology.

Expedition ready backpacks and duffel bags

Finally, [AK] accessories include a variety of products such as beanies, neck warmers, or backpacks. Each accessory is designed to offer the same quality and performance as the rest of the range, making sure riders are ready to face the elements. Clever details, such as compartments for safety equipment in backpacks, demonstrate Burton’s expertise when developing the [AK] line.
