Lafuma was created in 1930 by three brothers, Alfred, Victor and Gabriel Lafuma in their small Anneyron, Drôme, France workshop. The brand offers equipment for mountain enthusiasts: apparel, backpacks, hiking footwear, sleeping bags and accessories. History and values of the French brand

Founded in 1930 by the Lafuma brothers, the French brand’s know-how is based on almost a century of experience. The company specialises in outdoor gear and started by manufacturing backpacks. Lafuma is also recognised for its apparel, camping furniture and numerous accessories for nature lovers.

The Lafuma brand has been committed to protecting the environment for many years. The company strives to reduce its impact through the use of Oeko-tex® or Bluesign® certified materials, by producing in audited factories to guarantee good social and environmental practices and by reducing the use of PFC. Lafuma offers a service of reparation to prolong the life of its products. Repairing instead of replacing greatly reduces the product’s environmental footprint and constitutes one of the ways Lafuma puts forward to fight climate change.
