Why choose a Lange XT3 freetouring ski boot?

Thanks to Lange’s experience and especially the work of its pro riders, the XT3 ski boot is equipped with the latest innovations, making freeriding and freetouring even more fun!

These Lange ski boots are built with a Dual Core Light shell: soft plastic between two layers of hard plastic. This sandwich shell construction offers significantly better impact and vibration absorption while retaining optimal stiffness for great power transfer.

The Active Power V-Lock walk mechanism is fully made of metal. With Lange, you can say goodbye to plastics that can crack over time. This lever is robust and reliable. When you’ve reached the summit, you’re certain you can switch back to descending mode and enjoy a run in fresh powder.

When it comes to range of motion, the Lange XT3 offers 53°, which is more than descent for a freetouring boot. The idea being approaching backcountry spots, not completing Chamonix – Zermatt.

XT3 130 and 130 LV

Almost as powerful as its big sister, the XT3 130 guarantees a stiff flex and lets you choose the fit depending on the model. The LV (Low Volume) version offers a very snug fit with a 97 mm last at the metatarsals, while the standard MV version offers more room with a 100 mm last. This version is aimed at highly skilled skiers who enjoy skiing aggressively on powder. Its walk mode enables you to reach your favourite spots and enjoy the descents fully. For experts only!

XT3 120 and 120 LV

In between the 130 and 110 flex versions, the XT3 120 offers lots of precision and great responsiveness, while being less demanding than the 130 and more performance-oriented than the 110. This boot is available in 2 widths, 100 mm, and 97 mm at the metatarsals.

XT3 110 and 110 W

Here, Lange offers a middle of the range boot with a flex rating of 110 and a 100 mm last. You’ll enjoy precision and good support without taking it too far. In a nutshell, a best-seller that’ll satisfy advanced level freeride skiers seeking a good balance between climbing and descending. Lange also offers a women’s version of this model with the same technical features but with a dedicated shell and liner design adapted to the different anatomy. XT3 100

XT3 90 W

This freetouring boot is specifically designed for freeride enthusiast seeking comfort to fully enjoy their day out in the mountains. With a flex rating of 90, the XT3 90 W boot provides good tibial support and power transfer to link turns with great precision. Ideal for advanced to expert level female skiers. As it’s a women’s version, the back of the cuff has a specific design to conform to the feminine calf shape.

XT3 Tour and Tour Sport

These two models are clearly meant for ski touring by emphasizing on lightness. Lange relied on an ultra-lightweight heat mouldable liner. The boot weighs only 1525 g for the SPORT version in 26.5 and 1646 g for the base model. The flex ratings are respectively 120 for the SPORT and 100 for the standard. Everything for expert and less experienced ski touring enthusiasts. These models also feature Dynafit low tech inserts, compatible with any low tech ski touring binding, as well as Vibram Touring ISO 9523 outsoles.
