The Black Crows Vena Cor ski is an freeride model designed to explore the entire resort, just as comfortable on groomers as it is in powder. Versatile and playful, it’s a true outlier that allows you to link precise carved turns on hardpack with long sessions in deep snow without compromise, thanks to genuine float that makes it highly effective whenever fresh snow piles up.

What is the Black Crows Vena Cor ski made for?

The Vena Cor is an freeride ski, featuring a 100 mm waist for excellent lift and efficient float in powder. Its double rocker with fish tail promotes easy lift, manoeuvrability and pivoting ability while maintaining a playful and intuitive feel across any terrain. The traditional camber underfoot ensures solid edge grip and clean rebound on firm snow, delivering precise handling when edging into carves. The multi-radius turn radius enables quick transitions between short turns and longer arcs with responsiveness while remaining stable at higher speeds. Semi-cap sandwich construction with ABS sidewalls, poplar wood core and glass/carbon fibre laminates provides consistent medium flex, combining performance, forgiveness and control for skiing both groomers and deeper or more variable snow conditions.

How to choose the size of your piste and all-mountain skis?

At glisshop.co.uk, you’ll find one of the most comprehensive ski selections available online. To choose the right pair, start with three simple criteria: your ability level, your preferred terrain (piste, all-mountain, freeride, freestyle, touring), and your budget.

To refine your selection, several options are available:

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.
