Description

The Head Supershape Jrs (110-120) is a junior piste racing ski designed for young skiers eager to take on the gates and improve their technique on groomed slopes. It features a Power Sidewall Jacket construction with a composite wood core and an ERA 2.0 platform.

What is the intended use of the Head Supershape Jrs (110-120)?

With a 68 mm waist and a short turning radius, this ski is built for carving and slalom turns on groomed runs. The traditional camber provides precise edge grip on hardpack and a lively rebound from one gate to the next. The Power Sidewall Jacket construction protects the ski from impacts while maintaining a stable and responsive feel. The structured UHM C base uses the same material as adult race skis, ensuring excellent glide performance.

Who is the Head Supershape Jrs (110-120) for?

This ski is aimed at young intermediate to advanced skiers who are already confident on groomed runs and want to move towards a more performance-oriented, sporty ski. Available in lengths from 110 to 120 cm, it suits the smallest riders in the Supershape Jrs range.

What are the strengths of the Head Supershape Jrs (110-120)?

Agility

Responsiveness

Is the Supershape Jrs (110-120) suitable for slalom?

Yes. Its short radius and traditional camber make it a lively and precise ski for quick, tight turns.

Does the Supershape Jrs (110-120) perform well on hard snow?

Yes. The traditional camber and continuous edge contact along the ski’s length deliver solid grip on icy or compacted snow.

What does the ERA 2.0 platform bring to this ski?

The ERA 2.0 takes its geometry and design cues from the adult ERA 3.0 models, without the piezoelectric elements. It enhances the ski’s stability and responsiveness.

What is the difference between the Supershape Jrs (110-120) and the Supershape Jrs (130-160)?

They share the same construction, technologies, and intended use. The only difference lies in the size range: 110 to 120 cm for smaller skiers, and 130 to 160 cm for taller juniors.

Tips and advice

After using our calculator, you can explore further with our guides (depending on your skiing style):

And to see the method in action, here’s our video tutorial (example focused on piste / all-mountain skiing, with useful benchmarks whatever your style).

At glisshop.co.uk, you’ll find one of the most comprehensive ski selections available online. To choose the right pair, start with three simple criteria: your ability level, your preferred terrain (piste, all-mountain, freeride, freestyle, touring), and your budget.

To refine your selection, several options are available:

  1. The advanced search tool: located at the top of each category page, it allows you to filter by brand, skill level, discipline, and more. By combining these filters, you can quickly narrow down the range and easily find the models best suited to your skiing style.

  2. Contact us on 020 3129 3301: a pair of skis is a technical piece of equipment. Before placing your order, it’s best to make sure the model truly meets your expectations. Our team is here to advise you.

To go further and understand the differences between ski types, take a look at our comprehensive guide 'Which skis to choose?'.

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

- by our skiman : you can call us for any technical questions. Our skiman will do the final settings for you. Telephone : 020 3129 3301

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.

The manufacturer's guarantee will not apply if the problem comes from a misuse.

Setting the release value of your bindings is a major safety issue.

In order to fully function and ensure safety, your bindings need to be set according to the Afnor FD S 52-748 standard. We wrote down a guide to help you find out the release value matching your needs.
