The Rossignol Essential is a pure performance-oriented alpine ski that features a titanal reinforcements for better rebound and carving abilities! One of its many assets is how highly recyclable it is. Rossignol shows the example and recycles the timber, aluminium and steel contained in this ski to give it a second life when the ski gets too old.

What is the Rossignol Essential ski made for?

The Rossignol Essential is specifically designed for groomers and skiers looking for a sustainable model. It is made from 62% recycled, biobased and natural materials. Made in France, the energy used in its design is certified renewable. In terms of technical characteristics, it has a 69mm waist width for excellent grip on hard snow, while its traditional camber provides optimal energy transmission for precise, fast turns. Thanks to its Rectangular Sidewall construction and titanium reinforcement, it effectively dampens vibrations and delivers optimal performance on groomed runs. It's a model that provides plenty of rebound and lets you attack ice and hard snow with precision, absorbing the terrain’s irregularities. In addition, thanks to its double rocker, this ski has great manoeuvrability, making it easy to pivot and increase your agility.

How to choose the length of your skis?

How to choose the size of your piste and all-mountain skis?

What kind of skis should I buy ?

On glisshop.co.uk, you may feel overwhelmed by the amount of products we sell. How can you find the right skis, which ones can suit your level, your style or your budget?

Your options:

1. The advanced search engine: You'll find it everywhere on our website, as a sidebar on our listing pages. It allows you to select conditions and refine your selection: brand, level, style, etc. When you select them, only the relevant products will show.

2. You can contact us on the 020 3129 3301: skis feature fine technologies and affect your safety. It is important to make sure that the skis you've selected will suit you. Call our landline and get in touch with our team for any questions regarding these products.

Do you fit the bindings on skis?

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

Are the skis ready to use?

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

Is the equipment under guarantee?

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.

The manufacturer's guarantee will not apply if the problem comes from a misuse.
