Description

From the freeride range from Volkl, the Blaze 106 W ski is perfect for off-piste fun in the powder fields. It benefits from a lightweight construction that brings a lot of manoeuvrability without losing stability once back on the piste.

What is the program of the ski Volkl Blaze 106 W?

The Blaze 106 W is characterized by a light and extremely dynamic construction based on a wooden core and a classic camber. It rides playfully and is not too physically demanding. The turns can be lined up smoothly and with a good relaunch, especially as the 3D Radius Sidecut technology ensures skiing pleasure while varying all types of curves.

So, don't hesitate to dive into the powder and turn corners for crazy sensations.

Its flotation is excellent thanks to its 106 mm waist width and its two thick rockers that keep you on the surface. It also keeps a very healthy behaviour on the piste with good skiability thanks to the Suspension Tips and Tails technology. The spatula and heel are softer to absorb dirt from the terrain without losing stability during your high-speed runs. A very versatile model that is suitable for freetouring.

Who is the Volkl Blaze 106 W ski for?

The Blaze 106 W ski is perfect for freeriders with an advanced to expert level looking for a light and agile model for powder snow that is also stable and comfortable on the piste.

What are the main qualities of the Volkl Blaze 106 W ski?

Tips and advice

On glisshop.co.uk, you may feel overwhelmed by the amount of products we sell. How can you find the right skis, which ones can suit your level, your style or your budget?

Your options:

1. The advanced search engine: You'll find it everywhere on our website, as a sidebar on our listing pages. It allows you to select conditions and refine your selection: brand, level, style, etc. When you select them, only the relevant products will show.

2. You can contact us on the 020 3129 3301: skis feature fine technologies and affect your safety. It is important to make sure that the skis you've selected will suit you. Call our landline and get in touch with our team for any questions regarding these products.

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

- by our skiman : you can call us for any technical questions. Our skiman will do the final settings for you. Telephone : 020 3129 3301

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.

The manufacturer's guarantee will not apply if the problem comes from a misuse.
