Faction ski sets
Which Faction Skis to Choose?
Faction did not need decades to become a benchmark in the world of skiing. Its existence is owed to Tony McWilliam and his associates, who wanted to break away from the traditional big brands to create their own in 2006. If Faction skis quickly gained success, which has not waned since, it is thanks to their remarkable manufacturing quality. At Glisshop, we love Faction, and we offer you the chance to buy your skis in a set. Just choose a pair of skis and bindings, and our skimen will handle the installation and adjustment of the bindings. We invite you to discover Faction skis. Don't miss the new releases in the Studio range, as well as the Faction junior skis.

Speaking of athletes in the Faction collective, we can mention a few, including: Alex Hall, Alexandre Nordvall, Sam Anthamatten, Andrew Pollard, Duncan Adams, Antti Ollila, Micah Evangelista, Dylan Deschamps, Taisuke Kusunoki, Yann Rausis, Simon Charriere... for men, and: Sophia Rouches, Elisabeth Gerritzen, Fien Van Zwieten, Belle Bacon, Brooklyn Bell, Eileen Gu, Lorraine Huber, Kelly Sildaru, Mathilde Gremaud, Sarah Hoefflin, Giulia Tanno, Caroline Claire, Margaux Hackett... when it comes to females skiers
Studio: The New Faction Ski Range
The Studio range promises exceptional performance in various freestyle skiing disciplines. Dedicated to half-pipe, the Studio 0 is reinforced with carbon. It is impressively precise. The Studio 1 is ideal for performing tricks in the park. It combines a poplar and ash core with carbon inserts for a perfect balance between lightness and rigidity. With its 102 mm waist, the Studio 2 is the ultimate versatile ski, capable of transitioning from all-mountain to powder and the terrain park with ease. Each model features a carbon/rubber stomp pad to absorb shocks on landings. Made in Austria with renewable energy sources, these skis combine high quality with sustainability.
Backcountry Freestyle: Prodigy and Mana Skis
The Prodigy skis remain a flagship range at Faction. Named in tribute to the electro group and their energetic music, they offer tremendous power and liveliness. Designed for freestyle enthusiasts, the twin-tip Prodigy skis tackle all park features without hesitation. The range includes several models with increasingly wider waists. The Prodigy 1 is designed for park freestyle, while the Prodigy 4 is more suited for pure backcountry with its 112 mm waist.
The Mana collection features high-end skis for great fun in backcountry freestyle. Among the lightest in their category, they are built to last. With carbon and rubber reinforcements, as well as FSC-certified wood cores, Mana skis guarantee stability and precision. They allow for smooth surfing on fresh snow and playful manoeuvring on bumps with great agility.

Freetouring: La Machine Skis
The least we can say is that the La Machine freetouring range from Faction is truly designed for skilled skiers. The four pairs differ in their waist width. With 91 mm (Micro), 99 mm (Mini), 109 mm (Mega), and 126 mm (Max) underfoot, those into tight outfits can look elsewhere. The Micro is the most forgiving on the climb, saving your energy. On the descent, it remains effective on all snow conditions. The Mini is designed for 50% hard snow and 50% powder use. A ski for playing on all types of terrain. The Mega's 109 mm waist and pronounced rockers provide excellent float in powder. Finally, the Max model, with 126 mm at the waist, is clearly the ally for deep snow. The one you take out when the sun finally shines after three days of snowfalls. A ski for hardcore freeriders, the hungry, the passionate.
All-Mountain and Freeride: The Dancer Range
The skis in the Dancer range were designed by Faction for the most playful among you. These are all-mountain freeride skis, capable of going anywhere, from the ski area to steep chutes to the forest, regardless of snow conditions. These are durable skis made of top-quality materials, reliable and durable. They come in men's, women's, and children's versions.
Freeride: Former Faction Dictator Range
The freeride skis from the Dictator range were designed for those who wanted to push their limits by charging hard down steep chutes. The Dictator dominated untouched mountain terrains. With the Dictator 4.0 and its 115 mm waist, they provided optimal float for high-speed runs. Coupled with titanal plates, the stability was exceptional. These skis were truly ultra-powerful and meant for the best freeriders. For those seeking more versatility, the Dictator 3.0 offered a slightly narrower waist, gaining stability on hard snow.
The Faction Candide Range: The Legacy
Developed until 2022 in collaboration with Candide Thovex, this range was a benchmark in the freeski world. With a perfectly symmetrical shape, Faction Candide skis were ultra-playful, with a snappy flex for instant pivots. They featured a wood core that added pop and a central carbon pad to better absorb shocks.
To keep having fun off-piste, especially in the Balme sector that Candide Thovex knows like the back of his hand in La Clusaz, we offer a fine selection of backcountry freestyle skis and hope to soon delight you with the surprises that Faction is likely already working on.
