The Faction Prodigy 2 Capsule ski is an all-mountain freestyle twin-tip, built to be ridden across every type of terrain, from the park to powder, with a playful character and a construction focused on pop, precision and clean landings. This Capsule edition marks an exclusive artistic collaboration with Elsa Grace.

What is the Faction Prodigy 2 Capsule ski designed for?

With a 98 mm waist, it floats in soft snow and grips on firm conditions without losing manoeuvrability. The double rocker makes quick pivots easier and makes the ski genuinely versatile. Traditional camber underfoot provides rebound and edge hold when carving between tricks. Twin-tip with a directional twin shape, it can be skied both forwards and switch: rails, butters, presses, jump landings, the whole mountain becomes one huge terrain park.

Is the Prodigy 2 Capsule at home on rails and in the terrain park?

Yes. The carbon/rubber stomp pad underfoot absorbs impacts and vibrations when landing on rails. The 2.5 mm XL edges, 35% thicker than standard edges, are built to withstand repeated park abuse.

What does the directional twin profile change compared with a symmetrical twin?

The tail is slimmer than the tip: this preserves the feel of an alpine ski when skiing forwards, while still making switch riding possible. You get all-mountain behaviour when skiing in your normal stance, and the playful feel of a twin when you spin it round.

Does the Prodigy 2 Capsule hold well on hard snow and when carving?

Yes. The traditional camber underfoot gives it strong edge grip on groomed or firm snow, with good rebound out of the turn. It is not a pure carving ski, but it holds an edge confidently for linking clean lines between tricks.

Does the poplar core change the feel of the ski?

How to choose the size of your piste and all-mountain skis?

At glisshop.co.uk, you’ll find one of the most comprehensive ski selections available online. To choose the right pair, start with three simple criteria: your ability level, your preferred terrain (piste, all-mountain, freeride, freestyle, touring), and your budget.

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.
