The Faction Prodigy 0 is a twin-tip freestyle ski designed as an entry point into freestyle, letting you discover new sensations with an approachable, easy-handling model.

What is the Faction Prodigy 0 ski designed for?

With an 85 mm waist, it feels at home on groomers as well as in the side country. Its lightweight Fusion core makes skiing intuitive and effortless. The camber underfoot, double rocker in the tip and tail, and bidirectional shape deliver forgiveness, easy pivoting and allow you to ski, jump or land switch. The anti-chip Micro-Cap construction and 2.5 mm XL edges ensure solid durability season after season.

Can the Prodigy 0 be used for freeride?

No, its waist width only allows it to venture to the side of the piste. For freeride skiing, you’ll need to look at the the Prodigy 4 and its 116 mm waist if you’re an expert, or the 106 mm of the Prodigy 3 for intermediate and advanced skiers.

What is the difference between the Prodigy 0 and the Prodigy 1?

The Prodigy 0 is more forgiving and approachable, geared towards discovering freestyle. The Prodigy 1 offers greater precision and durability, with a poplar/ash core for skiers who are already technically confident.

How to choose the size of your piste and all-mountain skis?

At glisshop.co.uk, you’ll find one of the most comprehensive ski selections available online. To choose the right pair, start with three simple criteria: your ability level, your preferred terrain (piste, all-mountain, freeride, freestyle, touring), and your budget.

To refine your selection, several options are available:

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.

The manufacturer's guarantee will not apply if the problem comes from a misuse.
