Description

Wider and more aggressive than the rest of the Kore line, the Head Kore 106 Ti ski is a freeride ski built for wild terrain such as deep powder, cornices, or even heavy snow, featuring a double layer of Titanal and a Karuba/beech core that can take a beating without flexing.

What’s the Head Kore 106 Ti ski all about?

With a 106 mm waist, it floats easily in deep powder and handles heavy snow without losing speed. The double rocker initiates turns quickly on varied terrain. The classic camber in the center maintains edge-to-snow contact along the entire length, helping you hold your line and accelerate out of turns. The long radius facilitates wide, fast turns on open terrain.

Who is the Head Kore 106 Ti ski designed for?

This ski is designed for intermediate to expert riders looking for a powerful freeride ski to really commit to off-piste skiing, with the ability to return to the piste without struggling against the ski.

What are the main qualities of the Head Kore 106 Ti ski?

Float

Power

Stability

Is the Kore 106 Ti maneuverable in tight off-piste terrain?

The double rocker helps with pivoting and quick direction changes, but the long radius naturally steers the skier toward open lines. In a narrow couloir or under tight trees, a shorter or lighter ski will be more comfortable.

Does the Kore 106 Ti hold up on hard snow?

Yes. The double layer of Titanal and the classic camber in the center give it enough stiffness and grip to hold its own on groomed runs or transformed snow.

Is the Kore 106 Ti heavy to handle?

Not for its size. The Karuba/beech core and integrated graphene optimize the weight-to-performance ratio, making it more responsive than its width might suggest.

What’s the difference between the Kore 106 Ti and the Kore 100 Ti?

The Kore 106 Ti is designed for more aggressive off-piste and deep-snow riding. The Kore 100 Ti is narrower, more versatile, and better suited for switching between on-piste and off-piste riding on a daily basis.

Tips and advice

After using our calculator, you can explore further with our guides (depending on your skiing style):

And to see the method in action, here’s our video tutorial (example focused on piste / all-mountain skiing, with useful benchmarks whatever your style).

At glisshop.co.uk, you’ll find one of the most comprehensive ski selections available online. To choose the right pair, start with three simple criteria: your ability level, your preferred terrain (piste, all-mountain, freeride, freestyle, touring), and your budget.

To refine your selection, several options are available:

  1. The advanced search tool: located at the top of each category page, it allows you to filter by brand, skill level, discipline, and more. By combining these filters, you can quickly narrow down the range and easily find the models best suited to your skiing style.

  2. Contact us on 020 3129 3301: a pair of skis is a technical piece of equipment. Before placing your order, it’s best to make sure the model truly meets your expectations. Our team is here to advise you.

To go further and understand the differences between ski types, take a look at our comprehensive guide 'Which skis to choose?'.

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

- by our skiman : you can call us for any technical questions. Our skiman will do the final settings for you. Telephone : 020 3129 3301

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.

The manufacturer's guarantee will not apply if the problem comes from a misuse.

Setting the release value of your bindings is a major safety issue.

In order to fully function and ensure safety, your bindings need to be set according to the Afnor FD S 52-748 standard. We wrote down a guide to help you find out the release value matching your needs.
